ST. PAUL, Minnesota – The Macalester College football team kicks off its 2022 season on Saturday, Sept. 3 at Minnesota Morris. The 2022 schedule includes two non-conference games, three crossover games against the MIAC Northwoods Division and four Skyline Division contests. The season concludes with an MIAC Championship game of the week to be played at home on November 12.
The Scots’ other non-conference game is the home opener against Martin Luther on Sept. 10 at 6 p.m. Macalester plays his third straight night game when St. Olaf visits Macalester Stadium on Sept. 24 at 7 p.m. The Scots play for the Book of Knowledge on October 8 at Northfield, with the third crossover game against St. Scholastica at home on November 5. The first Skyline Division game will be at Concordia in Moorhead on October 8, followed by divisional home games against Augsburg on October 15 and Bethel on October 22. Skyline’s final game will be at Hamline on October 29 for the Paint Bucket.
Divisional standings will determine the Scots’ opponent for the week of the MIAC Championship on November 12, with teams from the Northwoods division serving as hosts. Teams will play against the corresponding seed in the other division, with the two first-place teams playing for the conference’s automatic NCAA playoff bid.
