Brentford Women will make history when they play for the first time at Gtech Community Stadium on Sunday 13th November.

They will face Watford Ladies Development in a Division One North match of the London South East Regional Women’s Football League and kick-off will be at 3pm.

All tickets to the game are free and fans can claim up to six each as the club hope to break their attendance record of 1,010 which they set in March in a 7-2 win over Sport London th Benfica at Bedfont Sports club.

Brentford chief executive Jon Varney says they want to put “more emphasis” on women’s teams.

“Playing at the Gtech Community Stadium will be an amazing experience for the team and a great way to show how important they are to the club,” Varney said. “We want our women’s teams to continue to grow and progress and I think an opportunity like this is a great way to help them do that.”

Brentford women’s first-team manager Karleigh Osborne added that it will be “a huge opportunity”.

“It’s great that the Club is fully behind us and pushing our team to play at the highest possible level,” he said. “We’ve had great experiences playing for Brentford already, including playing at Griffin Park and having over 1,000 supporters at Bedfont Sports Club last season, but this game takes us to another level and will help us retain our players and give them the support they need to succeed in the future.
