West Ham v Manchester City LIVE! Premier League Match Stream, Latest Team News, Lineups, TV, Today Prediction

After Liverpool clinch the second half of their potential quadruple, Manchester City can make a statement in the fight for the Premier League title today.

Victory over West Ham will put Pep Guardiola’s side within easy reach of a fourth league title in five years after Kevin De Bruyne inspired a midweek demolition from Wolves.

A three-point lead and a healthy goal-difference advantage means even a draw could see the title officially won before the final day, with Liverpool heading to Southampton on Tuesday night.

But the top spot is a West Ham side who have their own battles to win.

A place in the Europa Conference League next season is not yet assured and the Hammers can even reach the top six if they can overturn Manchester United’s three-point lead in the final eight days of the season.

Moreover, Mark Noble will step down at the end of the campaign and it will be his last chance to play in front of the West Ham faithful.

Benrahma misses the squad entirely for West Ham, who appoint Noble to the bench as expected.

Moyes will surely bring him on in the second half…

For Man City, Fernandinho and Laporte are both fit and start at centre-back, with Ake on the bench. As for the attack, it still looks strong. Tough afternoon for Dawson and his defensive partners.

Injury woe for City…

Man City are set to head to the London Stadium with just one fit centre-back, which could give West Ham’s Europa League hopes a major boost.

City duo John Stones and Ruben Dias had already been ruled out for the season with hamstring issues before Pep Guardiola eyed Aymeric Laporte and club captain Fernandinho – who had been a substitute in the backline – limping against Wolves in midweek.

“Apparently it doesn’t look good,” Guardiola said after a full time in the 5-1 rout at Molineux. “It’s muscle problems for Fernandinho, so it will be difficult for Sunday. Aymeric had a bad knee injury and it will be difficult for Sunday.

That leaves Nathan Ake as City’s only in-form senior centre-half, and the Dutchman has just returned from an ankle problem,

Noble: Not embarrassed if I step onto the field

Mark Noble insists he’s ‘not at all bothered’ if he doesn’t step onto the pitch as he bids farewell to West Ham this afternoon.

Manchester City’s visit to the London Stadium is the Hammers’ final home game before Noble hangs up his boots after more than 500 appearances for the club at the end of the season.

“I’m not bothered at all if I play,” Noble said. “I spoke about it with the director.

“For me the club’s return to Europe, to the Europa League, outweighs a sentimental send off for me. Obviously I’m going to be very well received, I know that and if I get a few good minutes, but I have played enough minutes in my life.

“We have to worry about getting the points rather than worrying about me.”

Prediction

City are certainly weakened by their injury problems but given the way they have performed since leaving the Champions League, it is difficult to bet against them.

West Ham may well be able to cause the much-changed defensive problems, but City have been in superb goalscoring form themselves.

Manchester City won 2-1.

First news from the team

David Moyes has confirmed that Michail Antonio, Craig Dawson and Said Benrahma all suffered minor knocks in last week’s win at Norwich.

However, only Benrahma is of concern for this game, with the coach saying on Friday: “Said is a bit of a question mark, he’s come back for some light jogging. Not as bad as we thought, but he’s not as bad. good than being fit.

City, meanwhile, are suffering from a defensive crisis. Fernandinho and Aymeric Laporte were forced out of Wolves, potentially joining Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias and John Stones on the sidelines.

Nathan Ake came on and, pending any setbacks, looks most likely to link up with Rodri in central defense if any of the doubts don’t clear up in time.
