FAYETTEVILLE, Arche. – The University of Arkansas women’s tennis team returns to the fall competition this weekend in Iowa City, Iowa, to compete in the ITA Central Regional Championship, held from 21 to October 25 at Hawkeye Tennis Recreation Complex.
The ITA Central Regional Championship will feature student-athletes from 27 different schools in the region to compete in both singles and doubles events; both with a first consolation draw type match.
Arkansas will send all nine of the team to Iowa to compete in the singles and doubles. Five of the nine Razorbacks competing in the singles were ranked in the main draw, with Indianna Spink seeded 3, Kelly Keller at 9, Tatum Rice at 22, Morgan Cross at 36 and Lenka Stara at 38.
Senior Laura Rijkers along with juniors Claire Slaughter and Presley Southerland and rookie Grace O’Donnell will start the tournament in the singles qualifying match.
